What We Expect
As a member of Florida Live Chat, we ask that you:
- Communicate respectfully with all users
- Be honest in your profile and interactions
- Obtain consent before sharing someone's image or personal details
- Report behavior that violates these guidelines
- Keep conversations appropriate for a general audience
- Respect others' boundaries and comfort levels
- Use the platform for its intended social purpose
- Follow all applicable laws and regulations
What's Not Allowed
The following behaviors will result in account suspension or permanent ban:
Harassment & Abuse
- Bullying, threatening, or intimidating others
- Hate speech based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics
- Trolling or deliberately provoking others
- Stalking or unwanted persistent contact
Inappropriate Content
- Nudity or sexually explicit material
- Violent, graphic, or disturbing content
- Harassing or inappropriate imagery
- Promotion of self-harm or suicide
- Spam, scams, or fraudulent schemes
Illegal Activities
- Promoting or facilitating illegal acts
- Sharing copyrighted material without permission
- Impersonating others or entities
- Attempting to hack or exploit the platform
- Soliciting illegal services
Misrepresentation
- Using fake profiles or multiple accounts
- Catfishing or pretending to be someone else
- Misleading information about age, location, or identity
- Creating accounts for others without permission
Commercial Activity
- Selling products or services without authorization
- Promoting competing platforms
- Mass advertising or unsolicited promotion
- Using the platform for business recruitment
Enforcement Process
When we become aware of guideline violations, we take action based on severity:
- Warning: For minor first-time violations, we may issue a warning and request compliance.
- Temporary Suspension: For repeated violations or moderate offenses, accounts may be temporarily suspended (ranging from 24 hours to 30 days).
- Permanent Ban: For severe violations, repeated offenses, or threats to community safety, we permanently ban accounts without warning.
All enforcement decisions are at our sole discretion. We may also report illegal activities to appropriate authorities.
Reporting Violations
If you encounter behavior that violates these guidelines:
- Use the in-app report feature immediately
- Provide as much detail as possible (username, date/time, description)
- Include screenshots if relevant and permissible
- Contact support at [email protected] for urgent matters
We review all reports promptly and confidentially. Retaliation against users who report in good faith is prohibited.
Updates to Guidelines
These Community Guidelines may be updated periodically to address new challenges or clarify expectations. Significant changes will be communicated to users via email or in-app notification. Continued use of Florida Live Chat after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised guidelines.
